A coming of age movie about the trials and tribulations and excessive masturbations of a disturbed 16 year-old. Fun.

Ah, the tribulations and humiliations of the hormonal adolescent male! Especially when the light of your life catches you stealing a spent banana skin from her rubbish bin. There's nothing very original about this mainstream coming of age comedy - nothing indeed, that Bill Forsyth didn't do much better 20 years ago, albeit with fewer masturbation gags - but quite watchable all the same. Angelo is a down-on-his luck stuntman who continues to dream of action stardom even if the action genre is already dead like his idol, Fernando Poe Jr.

When he fails an audition for a *** film, his wife Kara, herself a former movie extra who now sells tickets at a rundown movie theater in Quiapo, threatens to leave him if he doesn't find a real job.

On his way to borrow a small sum, Angelo stumbles on a bag of money that fell out of an onrushing vehicle.

The money, worth over 11 million pesos, is part of the loot taken by a robbery gang from a bloody bank heist.

With the robbers hot on their trail, Angelo and Kara embark on this charity spree before feeling to the province.

Suddenly, the action star wannabe is in the middle of a real-life action movie.

Unfortunately, the bad guys carry guns with live bullets in them.

Review:
One of the high points of Jean-Luc Godard's challenging 1970s work, NUME'RO DEUX shows us the world of a working-class French family through the fracturing prism of layered and juxtaposed video images. Godard and fellow collaborator Anne-Marie Mie'ville focus on the shifting relationships of this family as they lead lives of not-so-quiet desperation in an austere, claustrophobic apartment. The resulting film is a dense tapestry that simultaneously examines various facets of family life in contemporary capitalist society, including materialism, old age, childhood trauma, sexual politics, and rape.
The decision to film this story in such a daring fashion--splitting the screen into innumerable variations--only enhances Godard and Mie'ville's point. As we watch the young married couple (Sandrine Battistella and Pierre Oudrey) slowly drift apart from one another, the cold, distant images add even greater loss to their disintegrating relationship. In focusing on the more somber aspects of family life, the filmmakers have crafted a bold commentary on familial dysfunction, which at the same time works superficially as a visual tour-de-force of stunning originality.

Two long-separated childhood friends, a 14-year-old boy and girl, are reunited at summer camp. There, they begin to fall in love with one another and assume the responsibilities of adulthood. However, their budding romance is largely thwarted by the camp's strict rules prohibiting contact between boy and girl campers. They suffer further reverses when another girl with a crush on the boy writes an accusatory letter about the girl.
